Today's lunch: Mozzarella sticks with sauce, Caesar salad, baby carrots, fruit choice.

Jr. Next Steps will meet Thursday, April 25th in the cafeteria. Please have rides ready for 4:30 on the cafe side of the building.

The Peer Advocate meeting has been changed to Wednesday, April 24th after school until 3:15.

Unified Theatre will meet on Wednesday, April 24th. Please have rides ready for 3:45 pm.

The next Robotics Club meeting will be held on Thursday, April 25th in room 28 until 4:00 pm.

STEPS/ABC will be holding their First Annual 2019-2020 Calendar Contest. Participating students must be in grades 6 & 7. Students participating must create a drawing or original graphic that showcases 'Assets are Important Because'. Draw a picture that describes why assets are important.


The Southington Police Department is holding a contest for a student to design their next community vehicle. If you hare interested in seeing your artwork driving around town, please see Mrs. TL in room 226 for application packet.

Gertrude Hawk Chocolate fundraiser will be in on Friday, April 12. Please contact Dora @ Drusiecki@att.net for pickup information.

Attention all students, the National Junior Honor Society is sponsoring Kennedy's 3rd Kennedy's Got Talent! Singing, dancing, comedy acts, fun skits, magic tricks are wanted! The sign up sheet will be on the JFK activity table located in the main lobby. The acts should be no longer than approximately two minutes and school appropriate. The show will be on held on Wednesday, May 1 at 6:30. Auditions to be in the show will be held in the auditorium on April 11th after school until 5:00 pm.

It is sad to say, but we will be having our final TwYlight of the school season this Friday 4/12!

Theme: GLOW DANCE

  • -A neon themed dj dance party to end the season
  • -Special food items!

We will be having an “Outdoor TwYlight Night” on Friday, June 7th at YMCA CAMP SLOPER!

Incoming 6th Grade Parent Orientation – April 24. The JFK PTO is requesting donations for water, snacks and dessert for this event. Items may be dropped off at the office in the morning. Sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0A4FA4AB2DA0FA7-parent1.

SAVE THE DATE!! JFK is hosting its SECOND Annual 8th Grade Class Night on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 from 6pm to 8:30 pm. This is a great celebration honoring the graduating 8th grade class. The JFK PTO is graciously asking for Adult Volunteers and/or any contribution you would be willing to offer to help make this a memorable night for the 8th graders. Any amount of gift card, donation or any other fun 8th grade friendly items would be much appreciated.

The final Box Tops Challenge is underway. Send in Box Tops by May 17. The class with the most Box Tops during this Challenge will win Munchkins for the homeroom. The Overall Winning homeroom will be rewarded with a Pizza Party.
