DEPAOLO VOLLEYBALL: The girls started their season with a 2 games to zero win over Washington MS last Wednesday. Game scores were 25-18 and 25-10. The junior varsity squad lost in three tough games despite strong serving.


RUN FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTS: The annual Apple Harvest Road Race takes place on Sunday Sept 30th and SMSAA has put together a team. A portion of the registration fee will help fund middle school sports. You can either register online (Select Team SMSAA when selecting your race) or by checking off Team SMSAA on the paper entry form

PATRIOT PRESS / NEWSPAPER CLUB: All are invited to attend our first meeting of the year. If you have any desire to learn more about what our club entails plan to attend a meeting in Room 112 on Wed Sept 26th directly after school. Plan pick up rides for 3:20 pm. This will be an organizational meeting to learn more about our club. If you like to write or be the first to get the facts on an event then this is the club for you.See Mrs. Bass in Room 112 or Mrs. Curtin in Room 214 if you have any questions.

LEADERSHIP: The last Saturday morning training session at Camp Sloper is tomorrow Sept 22 from 8:30am – 12:45pm. Training is different each year and is a great way to meet new friends. The cost of training is $12. Please see Mr. Palmieri if this is an issue for anyone. After training, all members of the program will be matched with a club based on their interests.

FOOD DRIVE: Today is the last day to bring in your food item and bring it to the cafeteria during homeroom. Each item brought in earns a point for your homeroom. The homeroom that earns the most points will win a pizza party. We look forward to seeing what DePaolo can accomplish together! We’ll announce the winner later today

GAMING CLUB: This is a brand new club. It is going to be the most radical club there is and teachers can join too! The club will meet every other week on Wednesday’s until 3:45. There will be board games and video games. If interested in joining, please sign up on the sheet outside of rm 106 across from the health room
