Welcome to the
ORANGE TEAM WEBSITE
----------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Parent/Guardian:
Welcome to the Orange Team! We are excited to begin a new school year with your child and are looking forward to a positive and productive experience. Our team provides a student-centered approach to learning that focuses on your child’s individual development. For maximum success we work as a team: the student, parents, and teachers sharing responsibility. This collaborative setting enables the development of self-esteem, mutual respect, responsible citizenship, and learner independence.
Communication is extremely important between home and school. As the year begins, we encourage you to provide us with your email address so that we can contact and update you throughout the year. You can reach all Orange Team teachers via the www.southingtonschools.org website where our emails are posted. You may also use the links below to email us directly. Please feel free to contact us at anytime concerning your son or daughter.
In an effort to involve parents and make student learning more relevant, we ask that you become regularly engaged in your child’s learning. Talk to your children about the school day, and check the homework hotline to be sure they have completed their assignments. This will prepare them for a successful school experience!
As a reminder, your child has a summer reading and mathematics assignment that will be due within the first few days of school. Also, be on the lookout for Open House this fall. We look forward to meeting you!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Moreau, Social Studies (Team Leader)
Mr. Evans, Language Arts
Ms. Cody, Learning Specialist (click the teacher's name to send an email)
Mr. Young, Science
Mr. Mierzejewski, Mathematics
Ms. Rioux, Spanish
