Changes for 2017 and beyond.
Beginning in the 2017-2018 school year the Social Studies Department will open the following electives to ALL interested students.
- America at War
- American Culture
- Current Issues
- Human Rights
- International Relations
- Introduction of Psychology
- Introduction of Sociology
- Middle East
- Modern China & Japan
- Politics & Government
- World Religions
Although the grades for these courses will be given a CCP weight, these courses are appropriate for ANY interested student.
We will continue to offer the following AP Courses:
- Human Geography
- Politics and Government
- Psychology
- U.S. History
As part of a curriculum realignment the course sequence will be changed beginning in the 2018-2019 school year.
In the fall of 2018 we will begin offering US History in 9th grade. When these students reach 11th grade in they will take a redesigned Civics course.
