Dear Strong School Families,
It is with great excitement and anticipation of the upcoming year that I welcome back all of our students and families to Strong School! As the principal of Strong School, I am delighted that you are part of our amazing learning community. I welcome and value your positive energy and dedication to excellence. I am excited and energized to continue to work with our staff, students and families to ensure high levels of academic, social and emotional success for all of our children.
I am looking forward to another incredible and productive school year. Our devoted staff is already planning and preparing for the return of our students. This year, we are particularly eager to continue and expand our work with Emotional Intelligence. In addition to the Charter and the Mood Meter, students will be learning about 2 new anchor tools – The Meta Moment and The Blue Print. These tools will help students regulate their emotions and resolve peer conflicts. Be on the lookout for more information in regard to these tools. We’ve also been working hard on revising our school wide behavior plan. We will no longer be utilizing behavior tickets or the behavior strike system. Our focus will shift to align with our work on Emotional Intelligence. We will be utilizing “Dolphin Dollars” to positively reinforce students for following classroom Charters and school wide Charters… stay tuned for more information in regard to our new plan!
If I can be of assistance to you, please call or email me. The wonderful Strong School staff and I feel privileged to be part of this school family. We thank you for your support and look forward to working with you as we embark on what will prove to be another year of amazing accomplishments.
