Camp Invention 2020
Imaginations soar with our new at-home program, Camp Invention Connect™! Children in grades K-6 receive four exciting activity kits packed full of materials to get them outside and active as they explore concepts of flight, tackle environmental challenges, build the ultimate sports complex, design the next great invention and gain confidence as innovators and entrepreneurs! This flexible program reinvents distance learning — it can be screen-free and self-led, or it can be enhanced through online collaboration sessions with Coaches and fellow participants. Visit invent.org/camp or call 800-968-4332 to register. Use promo code SUM15 to save $15 (expires 6/30).
This year's modules include activities that involve the following:
Camp Invention: Champions
Camp Invention Champions™ is a module where children discover the game-changing inventors behind their favorite sports. By applying creative problem-solving skills and using inspiration from these great inventors, they develop their own games, equipment and sports facilities.
Camp Invention Flight Lab™ is a module where children explore the principles of flight with the help of their very own robots. Innovation takes off as children engage in hands-on, high-flying challenges and inspiring experiments.Rescue Squad
Rescue Squad™ is a module where children team up to protect the Earth’s ecosystems! As they’re introduced to real-world challenges in habitats across the country, children build prototypes, explore energy conservation, eliminate pollution and help wildlife.
Design Thinking Project™ is a module where children gain confidence as they express their unique ideas and learn the value of their creativity. By applying an inventor-informed Design Thinking Process, children are empowered to take their ideas to market and protect their intellectual property.

The Camp Invention Leader In Training (LIT) position is an ideal summer opportunity for junior high students (youths entering grades 7, 8, and 9) who are looking to build leadership skills in a dynamic, invention-based setting with children entering grades 1-6. LITs will be mentored by a specially assigned Leadership Intern that has received leadership training and certification from Camp Invention. Each Leadership Intern is paired up to two LITs and work closely on a daily basis with his or her assigned LIT to help them develop their own leadership skills and style. The Leadership Intern will coach and mentor the LIT to build skills that he or she can practice and apply immediately to empower Camp Invention participants to be critical thinkers, creative problem solvers and innovative inventors.
A Leader-In-Training has the opportunity to make a lifelong impression on a younger child and may be one of the main reasons they select a career in Science, Technology or Invention!
