Camp Invention 2019

Attention Parents,

It is with great pleasure to announce the return of a mid-summer classic. This year, young inventors will be offered another great opportunity to exercise their curiosity. Camp Invention promotes 21st century skills and engages children in higher-order hands-on activities. Camp Invention is a non-profit organization that brings innovative ideas and allows young learners to explore through inquiry. This year's theme is 'Supercharged' and offers new activities that will get boys and girls to spend time exploring connections between science, technology, engineering and innovation. Children will work together to seek solutions to real-world problems and sharpen critical 21st century learning skills while rotating through several fascinating modules.

Unmask your child’s creativity this summer in the all-new Camp Invention® program, Supercharged, where children build confidence, learn to collaborate and transform their wild imaginations into epic creations. Campers in grades K-6 will learn creative problem-solving skills while coding and programming futuristic robots, uncovering ancient fossils, designing high-tech superhero gadgets and exploring radio frequencies. Local educators will lead this action-packed program featuring exhilarating, hands-on STEM activities teaching children to question, explore, break through obstacles and embrace failure! Early registration discounts are available! Register and find current promotions at or call 800.968.4332.

News Alert!
February 8, 2019

Due to a tremendous interest in Camp Invention, any new registrations after this date will be wait-listed.

This year's modules include activities that involve the following:

  • Children team up with the Innovation Force, a group of NIHF Inductees who have been transformed into superheroes, to battle the evil Plagiarizer, a supervillain who is out to steal the world’s ideas. As children create a device to retrieve the stolen ideas, they learn about the importance of collaboration and patents.

Deep Sea Mystery

  • Children embark on a research adventure at sea, but soon find themselves stranded on an island. Using lessons and advice from NIHF Inductees, children work in teams to invent island-survival tools and underwater equipment and navigate their way back home.

  • Children manage their own farm as they learn the basics of running a business. With the assistance of Bot-ANN-E, a programmable robot, campers learn fundamental coding techniques to maximize their time and profits and perform mock DNA experiments to check the health of their cattle.

  • Children explore frequency, circuit boards, motors and gears as they use real tools to reverse engineer a remote-controlled DIY Orbot. Throughout the week, campers will adapt their DIY Orbot to perform increasingly challenging tasks from sports to art.

For those that are making a return to this year's program a $35 alumni discount is offered until February 8th. Last year's program reached maximum enrollment by February 23rd, so be sure to register ASAP! Hope to see you there this year!

For Middle Schoolers....

The Camp Invention Leader In Training (LIT) position is an ideal summer opportunity for junior high students (youths entering grades 7, 8, and 9) who are looking to build leadership skills in a dynamic, invention-based setting with children entering grades 1-6. LITs will be mentored by a specially assigned Leadership Intern that has received leadership training and certification from Camp Invention. Each Leadership Intern is paired up to two LITs and work closely on a daily basis with his or her assigned LIT to help them develop their own leadership skills and style. The Leadership Intern will coach and mentor the LIT to build skills that he or she can practice and apply immediately to empower Camp Invention participants to be critical thinkers, creative problem solvers and innovative inventors.
A Leader-In-Training has the opportunity to make a lifelong impression on a younger child and may be one of the main reasons they select a career in Science, Technology or Invention!
