Summer School Program and Courses 2025
Grades 9 – 12
Dear Parent/Guardian and Student:
The Board of Education will offer summer school courses for students in grades 9-12 for any of the following purposes: loss of credit due to attendance, failure of a subject, preview of a course not yet taken (no high school credit), or review of a course taken previously (no high school credit).
Registration begins in early June. Courses* being offered are:

2025 Registration Process
Students will receive directions via email regarding arrival on the first day. It is therefore important to check your email prior to the first day.
2025 course dates: July 7 through July 31
Course times:
Session I: 8:00-9:55 a.m.
Session II: 10:00-11:55 a.m.
Session III: 12:00 p.m.- 1:55 p.m.
Tuition: $350 for a 1.0 Credit Course, $200 for a 0.5 Credit Course, $100 for Summer PE
Registration:
To register your student please review the SHS Credit Recovery Document and choose one of two options:
- Print the Credit Recovery document and bring to the SHS Main Office, attention Mike Drury
- Complete the Digital Credit Recovery Form linked here.
- Submit payment through check (made payable to Southington Board of Education Activity Account) or digital payments through MyPaymentsPlus.
- Note: registration is not complete until tuition for the course has been paid.

NOTE: Ensure students are eligible for Summer Credit Recovery - Have received a 50 - 59 in an eligible course, want to preview a course or want to review a course previously taken.
