News & Updates:

Southington High's School Profile

Each year, the Southington High School School Counseling office creates a school profile that explains class selection policies, grading system, school demographics, grading distribution, standardized test score averages, and percentage of students attending 2 and 4 year colleges.   The school profile translates the SHS transcript into terms college admissions offices can use and helps admission officers evaluate a student’s performance relative to other students in our school.  In addition, it highlights  SHS what students have accomplished in the community.   Please click here to read the current report.

Training for Tomorrow
Southington High School and the Southington Chamber of Commerce are teaming together to provide students a valuable learning experience in the business marketplace.  Our co-sponsored program, Training for Tomorrow, matches students and their career interests in an internship or shadow opportunity with a local business. The program supports students’ choices for a fulfilling and enriching career in the future.   Click here for a slide show which has a link to the Training for Tomorrow website.  Click here for an overview of the program and  click here for the application.
