Southington’s Town-wide Effort to Promote Success (STEPS) is our community's substance abuse prevention coalition. We strive to make prevention a priority here in the Southington community through education, limiting access and policy change. Our work specifically focuses on underage drinking, tobacco, marijuana and prescription drug prevention. In addition, we follow the Search Institutes 40 Developmental Asset Model. The more assets youth have, the more likely they will grow up to be caring, competent and successful individuals.
