Our Technology Integration Vision

At Southington Public Schools, we are dedicated to providing grade appropriate and seamless technology integration in every classroom, which will support innovative teaching practices, create enhanced learning environments, and will prepare our students to be contributing members of a digital society.

Student Data Privacy

Our teachers and staff protect student identities, work, and digital footprints as the use of technology grows in our classrooms.

District Online Resources

We continue to identify new systems that can be utilized to improve student achievement:

  • Unit Planner
  • College Board website
  • STAR
  • Google Chrome Extensions/Add-Ons related to student need
  • SchoolNet for benchmark assessments

21st Century Skills

We are beginning a district-wide conversation around the 4Cs (critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration). If these skills are integrated into the curriculum, students will not only be better prepared citizens, but their achievement on the academic standards will also improve. Although technology is not specifically outlined or required for these skills, access to technology improves efficiency and performance in all of these areas.
