Through self discovery and collaboration with parents, teachers and school counselors, Naviance helps students be better prepared for academics, careers and understanding of self. The Naviance Family Connection portal provides students and families with a variety of tools designed to connect learning to life™. School Counselors have the access information if you cannot log in.

PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center
PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center actively leads social change to prevent childhood bullying, so that all youth are safe and supported in their schools, communities and online. PACER provides innovative resources for students, parents, educators, and others, and recognizes bullying as a serious community issue that impacts education, physical and emotional health, and the safety and well-being of students.

The Child Mind Institute

 

The Child Mind Institute is an independent, national nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders. Our teams work every day to deliver the highest standards of care, advance the science of the developing brain and empower parents, professionals and policymakers to support children when and where they need it most.

 

Virtual Calming Room
Wayzata Public School system in Minnesota developed an extensive online resource of strategies for students to use for managing their emotions. The strategies and tools listed are varied ensuring there is something for everyone.
 
Southington STEPS Program

Southington Town-wide Effort to Promote Success (STEPS) is our community’s substance abuse prevention coalition located in Southington, Connecticut. We strive to make prevention a priority here in the Southington community through education, limiting access and policy change. Our work specifically focuses on underage drinking, tobacco, marijuana and prescription drug prevention. In addition, we follow the Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Asset Model. A Southington community initiative aimed at developing healthy and successful youth. Search Institute is a nonprofit organization that studies and works to strengthen youth success in schools, coalitions, youth and family organizations, and the faith community.
