Advised by Mrs. Brooks and Mrs. Spinello

Meeting time: Wednesdays after school in room W260

DECA students work in the school store before school and during periods 1, 2, 3, and 8. This provides them with real life retail work experience including advertising, selling, buying and merchandising, inventory planning and maintenance, and visual display merchandising.

Other major events throughout the year include an annual Haunted House and Halloween Party thrown with FBLA each October, the Apple Harvest Parade, the Drug Free Rally, community service drives, fundraisers, leadership workshops, and competitive conferences.

Who should join?

Any student with an interest in going into a business career and/or want real world experience before going to college. DECA students are better prepared to market themselves, solve problems, think creatively, work collaboratively, and stay motivated!
