Changes for 2017 and beyond.

Beginning in the 2017-2018 school year the Social Studies Department will open the following elective to ALL interested students.

  • America at War
  • American Culture
  • Current Issues
  • Human Rights
  • International Relations
  • Introduction of Psychology
  • Introduction of Sociology
  • Middle East
  • Modern China & Japan
  • Politics & Government
  • World Religions

Although he grades for these courses will be given a CCP weight these are appropriate for ANY interested student

We will continue to offer the following AP Courses:

  • Human Geography
  • Politics and Government
  • Psychology
  • U.S. History


As part of a curriculum realignment the course sequence will be changed beginning in the 2018-2019 school year.

In the fall of 2018 we will begin offering US History in 9th grade. When these students reach 11th grade in they will take a redesigned Civics course.
