The application process for the Ag-Sci program is an extensive one for new students and parents. The department has developed a check list that the applicants are encouraged to use as they work through process of applying to our program. The Southington Agriculture Science and Technology Program accepts applicants who have an interest in a career in Agriculture Science and Technology, Agri-Business, Production Agriculture and other related fields.
The curriculum is designed for enrollment in Grade Nine. However, students entering Grade Ten may be considered if space is available, and if the student meets other admission criteria. To be considered for enrollment in the Southington Agriculture Science and Technology Program all of the following information must be received by the Agriculture Science and Technology Center by the application deadline. We cannot act on incomplete applications.
The following is a checklist to help you complete and submit all required parts of the application.
To be completed by student and parent (when all completed return packet to your school counselor’s office):

School Counseling Office:

□Page 6 Instructions for Release of Records (after parent signs and then forwards to school counseling office)
□Page 7 School Counseling Recommendation Form
Person of your choice (non-relative):

Teacher of your choice:

The completed application packet should be returned to the School Counseling office at the student's current school by December 1.
After the application is received by the Agriculture department, the student and a parent will be required to attend an admissions meeting at the Agriculture center. You will receive an invitation by mail.
After this meeting and the review of all required material, a decision will be made on the acceptance of the student.
