The Town of Southington in conjunction with the Commission of DisAbilities has established a Special Needs Registry at the Southington Police Department dispatch center to assist residents with special needs in the event of emergency or evacuation. Does Your Child Have Health Insurance? Connecticut’s HUSKY Health offers low-cost or free coverage.
If your child is uninsured and you would like to participate in Connecticut’s HUSKY Health program call the HUSKY information hotline: 1-877-CT-HUSKY (1-877-284-8759), from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday.You can apply by phone or request an information kit. Or, visit HUSKY at www.huskyhealth.com. Here you can download the application. If you are a parent, relative caregiver or pregnant woman,the application can also be used to apply for adult health coverage. Call your school nurse with questions.
