The library media center is an integral part of the instructional program at Joseph A. DePaolo Middle School. The library media center's purpose is to help students learn and practice library information skills and research strategies in all subject areas. The library staff encourages independent inquiry and promotes the enjoyment of reading for pleasure and information.
The library media center strives to maintain resources in a variety of formats and technologies, that are current, relevant to the curriculum, and of interest to staff and students.
We help students and staff:
Locate and use resources
Design search strategies
Use technology
Find books of interest
Hours :
The library is available for staff and student use from 8:00AM until 3:00PM each school day. Students may come to the library during study periods. Students may also access the library before homeroom and during 15 min. sustained silent reading. Classroom teachers schedule class time in the library when a research project is planned.
